Types of Curtains

as there are primarily three types of curtains. Unlined Curtains comprise of single layer of fabric hemmed at the
sides and bottom with choice of top finish, such as Tab top, Ring top, Rufflet
etc. Next come the Lined Curtains, which are similar to the unlined ones, but are made
with an extra layer of backing fabric usually of a plain cream or white cotton
or satin. And finally the Interlined
Curtains, which have an extra lining between the face fabric and the
curtain lining. This extra lining is called Bump and is kind of a blanket type
fabric.
Design of Curtains
The next key factor to decide is the design of the curtains
as per the room settings and décor. Many types of designs can be tried, such as
Pinch Pleats, Box Pleats, Goblet Pleats, Pierced Headings, Tie Tops, Rod Pocket
etc, complimenting the décor of the room. The design of curtains can be
elevated by adding various accessories like tassels, fringes, bows and tie
backs etc.

Finally the size and exact measurements is very crucial. The
length and breadth of the curtains has to be such that, besides covering the
windows fully, they provide a sense of completeness to the room. Moreover exact
